I write love stories.
Real life is ashy.
AVA ALISE / WELCOME TO AVA’S
I make up stories, disappear into them, and occasionally make other things when I’m supposed to be writing. Come in.
Hi. I’m Ava.
I write contemporary romance about complicated people, messy feelings, and love that doesn’t always behave. Then life interrupted the joy I found in writing, creating, playing, laughing, and connecting with readers. AVA’S is where I’m finding those things again—and inviting you to enjoy them with me.
REAL LIFE FUELS THE FICTION.
PLACEHOLDER VIDEO — replace with a 6–10 second silent loop: writing hands, notebook pages, garden movement, or patio lights.
THE FICTION IS IN HERE.
Longing, crossed lines, and the consequences afterward.
Some nights want a whole book.
Some nights want one strange little story.
Some nights want a puzzle.
THE BROKEN AUTHOR
This door is still closed.
Well. One got out.
SHE FINALLY TOLD HIM THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO HER.
Then his front door opened.
AND HER NIGHTMARE WALKED INTO THE ROOM.
FICTION / OUT OF CONTAINMENT
There’s more where that came from.
I deal story cards. One got out.
They’re over here. →
REAL LIFEINTERRUPTEDTHE STORY.
I used to make things without thinking so damn hard about making things.
Then life got loud.
Work. Stress. Illness. Family. Responsibility. All the stuff that keeps needing something from you.
Somewhere under all of that, I lost track of a few things.
Creativity was one of them.
Joy might’ve been another.
I’m looking for both.
Maybe you’ve got something missing under all your stuff too.
I’m learning that rest and restoration aren’t the same thing. That making something badly can still feel good. That joy doesn’t have to accomplish anything.
Apparently, I’m learning a lot. Rude.
I MAKE THINGS FOR JOY.
Not everything needs a business plan.
Sometimes I make something because my brain said ooooh and I listened.
CURRENT LITTLE OBSESSION
THE BOOKSHELF
I made you a game.
Technically, I made me a game.
You can play too.
